Hej, I'm Filip.
I'm an infrastructure engineer from Sweden who has spent over five years building and running virtualization platforms — the kind of systems where "it works" is table stakes and the real goal is it keeps working when things go wrong.
Most of my career has revolved around the VMware stack: designing vSphere clusters, untangling vCenter upgrades, running vSAN and NSX in production, and gradually replacing every manual runbook I've ever written with PowerCLI, Terraform or Ansible. Along the way that expanded into Kubernetes, Linux and Windows platform work, and the networking and storage layers that everything else quietly depends on.
How I work
I believe good infrastructure is boring by design. That means automation over heroics, documentation over tribal knowledge, and rehearsing failures before they happen. If a change can't be explained in a short design note, it's probably not understood well enough to ship.
Nearly everything I run in production gets rehearsed first in my home lab — a small rack of ESXi hosts, a vSAN cluster, and enough networking gear to simulate the messy parts of enterprise environments. A lot of the articles on this site started as lab notes from those experiments.

Why this site exists
I've lost count of how many times a stranger's blog post saved me hours during an outage or a migration. This site is my attempt to pay that forward: practical, tested write-ups of the problems I've actually solved — with the dead ends left in, because those are usually the useful part.
